Peter Myers is a honors student at Iowa State University. He is majoring in finance and minoring in political science. Peter is originally from Houston, Texas, and enjoys every aspect of being a Cyclone at Iowa State University. 

 

At Iowa State, Peter has been involved in Student Government for three years.  Peter currently serves as a Business Senator and on the Public Relations Committee. He has previously served on the University Affairs Committee, Transportation Advisory Board, and Writing & Media Center Advisory Board. His projects have included (but not limited to): legislation to bring a safe, reliable rideshare program to the Ames community; expansion of residence hall recycling; and opening more parking spaces for students. Peter also serves as an ISU Ambassador (student lobbyist) where he lobbies student issues - tuition freze, performance based funding, campus infrastructure improvements - to state legislators at the Capitol. Peter enjoys representing and serving students in Student Government at Iowa State University.

 

This summer Peter will be interning in the finance capital of the world, Shanghai, China, as an investment banking associate.

 

Peter has been awarded lifetime membership in Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society, a prestigious, internationally recognized Honor Society accredited by AACSB International.  In addition, he is a member of Phi Kappa Phi Academic Honor Society. Peter is also an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America.
